ObriyUnity (Employment Platform for War-Affected Communities in Ukraine)

Summary

In a war-torn Ukraine, 15 million people struggle for employment, deepening socio-economic divides. Our project launches an employment platform for war-affected communities: veterans, disabled people, and displaced individuals - addressing their unique job-seeking challenges. By bridging these individuals with potential employers, we aim to foster their socio-economic reintegration, reduce unemployment, and combat poverty, ultimately contributing to Ukraine's recovery and promoting inclusivity.

Challenge

In Ukraine, the war's legacy will see a 20% unemployment spike, disproportionately affecting veterans, disabled individuals, and displaced persons. Traditional employment services fall short for these groups, exacerbating their struggle against poverty and social exclusion. Our solution, a dedicated employment platform, aims to bridge this gap, targeting the specific needs of over 15 million war-affected Ukrainians, ensuring their smooth reintegration into the workforce and society.

Solution

This project targets a 5% reduce in unemployment for Ukraine's war-affected communities via a specialised employment platform. Aiming to register 30,000 individuals over 3 years, create 10,000 matches in the first year, and establish employer partnerships, it utilises AI job matching, virtual fairs, career counseling, and skills training to tackle employment barriers faced by veterans, disabled people, and IDPs. This ensures their socio-economic reintegration and aids national recovery.

Long-Term Impact

Aiming to reduce 20% unemployment, this platform aids socio-economic improvement for 5 million veterans, 3 million disabled people, and over 7 million IDPs. Collaborating with the government and SME representatives will drive policy changes for Ukraine's 2 million SMEs, integrating policies for war-affected employment. This fosters a social-oriented economy, enhancing community solidarity and economic growth and showcasing technology's role in recovery for sustainable national development.
